Breaking News!
Your students are working for ‘The Yesterday Show’ and it is their job to report on the latest historical event!
In groups of 4, students will create a news segment (performed live or filmed) about a historical event. Each student will help with the research of the event, in addition to their own roles which include news anchor, script writer, background, audio mixer, and cameraperson (optional).
This project has two linked YouTube videos to give students inspiration for their own news segments, as well as suggestions for filming.
This project also includes a rubric for easy grading and some suggested teacher modifications to help this project best suit your classroom.
