Veterans Day Activity - Interactive Notebook

Need a Veterans Day activity? Here's a resource to use for Veterans Day. Once completed students will have a finished product full of information about this special day and they'll have fun learning and making their interactive notebook or file folder. They will be reading informational text, completing math problems, learning vocabulary words, coloring, cutting and pasting!

This Veterans Day resource is a collection of informational passages about:

• Veterans Day
• The Red Poppy
• The United States Armed Forces
• The People of the United States Armed Forces

Each informational passage has associated pages to add to an interactive notebook or a file folder. You will find:

• A five question flip page
• A copy of In Flanders Field
• A poppy to use for decorating
• Emblems of the 5 Branches of the military
• A table with numbers of male and female members of the military
• A foldable to write information about male and females numbers in the military
• A cover banner to use for decorating
• A patriotic heart to use for a pocket
• A page of stars to write information learned
• 13 vocabulary words with definitions
• Pictures to color and add for decorations

I have included colored pages for those with color printers but I have also included black and white so students can color their own. Specific directions with photographs are included.
