Visual and Contextual Analysis Long Essay Question (LEQ) 2 Digital Notebook - AP Art History - Print + Digital - Google Drive
Updated for the 2024 AP exam, in which all essay questions will now be typed.
The writing portion of the AP Art History exam is worth 50% of the overall exam score. Teaching the writing portion well is extremely important but also daunting. However, I LOVE teaching writing—which is why I created this resource to help newbie and veteran teachers out! This step-by-step guide on approaching the visual and contextual analysis long essay question (Q2) will give your students the foundation they need to succeed in this class.
I recommend teaching this after you teach Chartres Cathedral, as this artwork will be used as the basis for teaching the question.
