Description
Welcome! This listing features a full-page homework quiz about volcanoes and earthquakes for middle school earth science.
The first section is multiple-choice (thirteen questions). The second section is short answer (two questions). The third section is a table where students fill in the cells using the word bank I provided per row. In the last section, students circle all of the answer choices that are correct for the numbered statement (nine questions).
This test touches on igneous rock formation, vent layout, craters and calderas, seismograms, seismographs, the San Andreas Fault, ways volcanoes are classified, the cause of earthquakes, energy flow tracking and conservation, classification of volcanic emissions, differentiation between related sets of vocabulary terms (magma vs. lava, epicenter vs. hypocenter, etc.), profiling seismic waves, tsunami patterns, shield vs. composite vs. cinder cone volcanoes, active vs. dormant vs. extinct volcanoes, and worldwide zones of earthquakes and volcanoes.
I assigned point values for each section. This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Program. I provided a full-page key with the answers in red font.
