Description

I'm sure you don't lay awake at night asking yourself, "What is the history of the Hamburger?" ...you probably think you KNOW the history. I sure did! My research lead to some surprising discoveries along the way.

Learning about the history of the hamburger helps students understand that it’s really hard to determine the “first” when it comes to invention and innovation. Often  when things are invented, the concepts are built upon and the history of the hamburger makes that abundantly clear. Using the Google slide presentation or included teaching video your learners will be fascinated to find out hamburger facts. The origin of the hamburger goes all the way back to Ancient Rome!

In this resource you will receive:

A 20 slide presentation outlining the History of the Hamburger and the order hamburger fast foot restaurants were established.

Differentiated worksheets so learners can either

  1. Predict the order restaurants were founded before the presentation. After the presentation, they confirm the correct order an and create written responses to the presentation

  2. Cut and paste individual timelines

  3. Work collaboratively to assemble a large wall timeline for classroom display

Or they can complete ALL THREE ACTIVITIES!

There is also a link to the Homeschool Holiday Teaching video in which Mrs. Crabtree guides learners through the presentation, adding her insight and knowledge about the history of the Hamburger timeline! You can use this as your primary method of presentation, for students who are absent or out of the room or to help prepare your self to give the presentation. You have full permission to use my jokes.
