Autumn Writing Picture Prompts

This is an autumn-themed writing packet with prompts and pictures. The writing prompts, pictures, and labels will guide students in their writing. The prompts were written with Higher Order Thinking Skills in mind. Picture cues and labels have been provided to make this a maximum 10-15 minute activity. Included in this packet are two anchor charts that can be displayed. One has the writing expectations for this activity. The other is a sample model of how students can respond to a writing prompt. 

There are 4 versions for each prompt to help you differentiate for your students.

• with the picture, labels, writing checklist, and brainstorm space
• with the picture, writing checklist, and brainstorm space
• creative writing page with writing checklist and brainstorm space

The pages with the labels are targeting your students in a couple of ways. It's teaching vocabulary and action words for the ELL and low language students. At the same time, it's to provide inspiration to give the students direction with their writing.
