Bible Trivia Game | History of the Israelites from the Old Testament

This fun Bible trivia game is a great way to review some of the highlights from the Old Testament including the history of God's chosen people, the Israelites. Questions range from the promises of Abraham to the conquest of Jerusalem by Babylon. The questions are designed for elementary school aged kids.

I originally created this trivia game to use as a review of the Israelite's history after we finished a multi-week unit about the Hebrew people from the Old Testament in the Bible. The kids love the fun format, which is similar to other popular trivia games on TV. Students select the category and dollar amount. Kids then have to choose the correct question to the answer they see.

The Bible trivia game includes five categories:

Places (about geography in the Bible)

Example Answer: Birth town of King David

Question: What is Bethlehem?

'Til Death Do Us Part (about marriages in the Bible)

Example Answer: Abraham's wife who had a baby when she was very old

Question: Who is Sarah?

Miracles (about miracles from the Old Testament)

Example Answer: Samson was a judge of Israel and was very strong because he never cut this

Question: What is his hair?

Who's Who? (about important people from the Old Testament)

Example Answer: The last judge of Israel

Question: Who is Samuel?

Which came first? (students identify which event happened first in the Bible)

Example Answer: The Israelites wandered in the desert OR Ten plagues struck Egypt

Question: What is the ten plagues struck Egypt?

Final Question

Final Answer: A type of messenger that tells people God's will. Examples are Isaiah, Micah, and Jeremiah

Final Question: What are prophets?

This PowerPoint game can be used time and time again Christian schools and Sunday school classes. It's great for Sunday school lessons about the Israelites and the Old Testament, for game days, or for parties.
