Box Puzzles 2 - Adding Strings of Numbers

Looking for an extra challenge for your students?  Students will use box puzzles to solve addition of strings of numbers of any length. This is a great lesson to stretch your students, teach them about numbers, or stimulate those students who need more. Just line up the numbers in order in the top row, line up the numbers in the reverse order in the 2nd row, and total both rows. Then add from top to bottom in each column and the result will be the same sum. Multiply this sum by the number of columns and divide by 2, since you just added the numbers twice. Follow this pattern with several different number sequences. Answer Key is provided.  Product ends with students solving a riddle after finding the sum of 6 sequences of numbers.
