CREATE FARM PBL Math Enrichment Summer Project Based Learning 4th Grade Activity

Printable & Digital Project Based Learning - Build a Farm (EDITABLE).

This is a great extension and enrichment of end of the year or summer school activity to practice real-world math. "Create your own Farm" is a math project designed for students to complete independently or with a group.

All prices are represented by whole numbers, there are no decimals.

This download includes both a printable (pdf) and digital Google Slides™/PowerPoint™ version.

Students have to manage their budget to have as much profit as possible and accordingly to their land.

Students will:

- decide on a farm name,

- choose their animals and crops accordingly to the budget,

- plan the farm design (figure the area and perimeter of each field) accordingly to space and budget,

- calculate expenses and profits,

- sell their goods on the market.

This project covers multi-digit addition, subtraction, and multiplication (no decimals), money management, area and perimeter calculation.
