This presentation is divided into 3 main parts, so you may begin with the level of support your children need. All visuals are of words containing an initial consonant blend (p-lane, s-wing, for example). Students are guided through blending the initial sound, segmenting the initial sound, and then deleting it. Colorful pictures with teacher directions and prompts keep children engaged and actively participating. Play a Tic Tac Toe game together at the end for a fun review. A "try it with your eyes closed" slide is also included at the end for informal assessment. Perfect for distance learning with one on one tutoring or a whole remote class.
