Environmental Wordsearches - 3 Levels of Complexity, Answer Key,

This product is a great resource to support vocabulary development and student knowledge in using subject specific vocabulary when learning about environmental issues.

The product identifies 40 key words that students will come across and need to use when learning about environmental issues. Those 40 words have been jumbled up into one word search - but with three levels of complexity for teachers to use with their students and differentiate according to ability, need and knowledge.

Word search 1: Identifies the words for students to find

Word search 2: Identifies the initial letters of the words which the students have to find and informs them how many letters are in the word - therefore students will need to take the initial letter for each word and scan around the word search to find the words.

Word search 3: There are no clues for the words - leaving students to independently identify the 40 words.

This is certainly a challenging activity for the more able student, or an end of study unit activity to check the vocabulary knowledge of students.

An answer key is provided. Please note that the wordsearch is the same in each version, the element of complexity is achieved by the information given (or not given) to the students.

This activity is ready to go once downloaded - simply print and use. It is great for home learning, remote learning, science, geography or Literacy Centers, as well as paired and individual learning activities, and extension for early finishers or an early morning activity which students can do before sessions start.
