Product Description
In this set of activities students will learn more about the New Deal Alphabet Soup Agencies. Each student will research and illustrate the key concepts of one agency. Their illustrations will be drawn on a soup pot. Then, all of the soup pots will be arranged around the classroom as a soup kitchen for students to take notes from.
There are 30 different alphabet soup agencies to choose from. Six of these have descriptions provided for students who may struggle to do their own research.
For assessment after the note-taking activities, there is a writing prompt or an idea for incorporating the information into a unit test.
My students loved this activity since it used art and they were able to move around the room!
