Description
My students absolutely loved this project! It took us four days and they enjoyed every moment. Students choose a geologic time period to research and then create a topographic map on. The map is a park map and includes things like a key, contour lines, a map scale, where each dinosaur species will be located, etc. The maps turned out fantastic and students really took their time. At the end of this project students present their maps to the class. This project was great because it allowed for good collaboration and communication skills. Also, it incorporated two different disciplines, geography and historical geology.
