MAKING A PURITAN SETTLEMENT IN AMERICA

Description
In this activity students work individually and in small groups to decide where to set up their colony in wilderness America. They must try to reach a class consensus on the best site taking into consideration the challenges they will face including a harsh climate; unpredictable weather; insufficient supplies from England; unfamiliarity with some of the natural resources; sickness; and potential threats from both Native Americans and hostile nations.
