Medical Careers Bundle- Distance Learning Options!

This bundle includes 4 products:

• "Medical Career Mix-up" worksheet/activity

This activity worksheet gives students 10 medical careers to match with 10 new employees! Students must research the career and then determine who's name badge matches with the career, based off of the initials after their name! Great way to cover career exploration!

• "Help Me, Doc" worksheet/activity

In this activity, students will act as employees at Hospital working at the help desk. They must take phone calls and transfer them to the correct department.  This is a great worksheet for students to research the various specialties in medicine. Perfect for a warm-up or as part of the unit on Career Exploration. Answer Key included.

• "Medical Career Research Project"

My students are required to do a research paper on a health career and it can often be a big task to gather all the information. I came up with this 2 page "bullet-journal" style worksheet to help them collect the information while creating a fun document that can be kept in their journals.  The students love decorating this worksheet and it also gives them direction on what items they need to find while researching.

•  Health Career Internet Scavenger Hunt

One of my frustrations with students researching their Medical Career is the lack of good quality internet resources. This Internet Scavenger Hunt will lead them through good quality websites including BLS.gov and explorehealthcareers.org. They will be able to become familiar with the sites and the services they offer. Along the way, they will learn some valuable facts on various medical careers as well as understand why a career in healthcare is a great choice.  The students will answer 14 multiple choice questions that will require them to dig around on the websites and interpret data from graphs. At the end of the worksheet, they will use their answers to fill in the phrase "Medicine is only for those who cannot imagine doing anything else."  This makes a fantastic activity to complete before they begin their research!
