Myths & Literary Elements Unit

Students are introduced to primary source myths from various cultures, asked to analyze their literary elements, guided through comparing elements of all myths to create their own mythological checklist. Then students are asked to write their own myths, meeting all of the requirements on their checklists. All materials to guide students through activities and learning via powerpoint as well as handouts and readings are included in both editable and PDF formats. This unit should take a week of class time, depending on pacing. Units come in a zip file that will need to be extracted after download. All computers come with extraction programs.
