Populists , Progressives and the Wizard of Oz

“Populists , Progressives and the Wizard of Oz” is a fun way to go through the Populists and Progressive Era’s of the 1890’s through to World War I. Historical Politics is tough to get through to the kids in class, so I mixed in the Wizard of Oz ( which some think is about the populist movement of the 1890’s). But the goal is simple here, give the era some meaning to the kids, and they’ll remember it and apply the lessons. You can easily edit the order of the slides to just have a presentation on the Populist, the Progressives, and the symbolism of the Wizard of Oz.
