Description
Students complete an interview activity to review FDR's presidency. They first answer 8 history based questions, then they "interview" Roosevelt after becoming president (5 questions and answers), and then they conduct his last interview prior to his death (7 questions and answers). The last task is a bonus creative opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate and this would work for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Why did FDR propose a “New Deal” for the American people? List and explain 3 aspects of it. Was the New Deal a success, why or why not?
--What concept is illustrated by this political cartoon and discuss how FDR used it to his advantage during his presidency.
--For what purpose was Executive Order 9066 issued and how was it justified at the time?
--What is your ultimate goal as president?
--How do you think you will actually be remembered?
--If you could have given yourself one piece of advice the day before your first inauguration and the day before your 4th inauguration what would it have been and why?
