Description
Texas History students will read an overview of the Battle of San Jacinto from the Texas Revolution and 6 accounts related to the battle and its outcome representing different points of view. They will then answer 14 questions and complete 2 creative tasks. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Identify the best and worst decisions made, and by whom, before the battle actually began.
--Why was this battle more important than just ending the Texas Revolution?
--What impression does #2 give regarding the Texan forces. Do you think those men could have predicted the outcome of San Jacinto? Why or why not?
--How does Santa Anna justify, or explain, the loss at San Jacinto?
--Do you think all the accounts combined provide a historically fair, or biased, view for the events at San Jacinto, why or why not?
