Description
Students read 8 quotes/excerpts from the Scientific Revolution and answer 16 questions of varying degrees of difficulty. They then examine 4 images and answer 5 questions for those images. The answers are included and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Why was Copernicus’ work so difficult for many to accept at the time? Why did the Church in particular push back against his discovery?
--Would you consider the answer to number 4 a “revolution,” why or why not?
--Citing evidence from the text, does Luther support the findings of men like Copernicus and Galileo, why or why not?
--Provide a synonym for “pernicious” based on context clues.
--Summarize the role played by the answer to number 13 in the Scientific Revolution.
--How did Descartes determine what the truth was? Do you think he would agree that the truth was different for everyone, why or why not?
