Resurrection Eggs for Easter

Teaching the True Meaning of Easter

Looking for an easy and effective way to share the Gospel message of Jesus' death and resurrection this Easter?

Download this free Resurrection Egg product.

This product was first created when I wanted to share about Easter with my kids’ friends. I liked the idea of the Resurrection Eggs but I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t just handing out some eggs with no explanation of what was inside. I wanted the kids to really know what each item inside the egg represented and how it points to the Good News of Jesus’ resurrection. I then used the eggs for a Sunday School Lesson and the kids loved it. This download can be used either as a gift to others or in a Sunday School lesson for 2nd-6th graders.

Easter Egg Story
Inside this egg there are items that tell a story. A very special story. The story of how Jesus came to Earth to save us from all the terrible things that happen here in this world. Many of these terrible things happen because of sin. Sin is anything that God says is not good and goes against His loving commands. Wouldn’t it be great if we lived in a world without pain or suffering or sickness? What if we never disobeyed our parents or fought with our brothers or sisters? What if we were never sick or sad again? Wouldn’t that be a wonderful place?

Well, that place exists and it is called “Heaven.”
Jesus came down from Heaven and showed us the way to get to that wonderful, glorious place called Heaven. Since the very beginning of time, since God created the whole world, He had a plan to bring us to Heaven. There is no sin in Heaven. None. There is no pain and there are no tears.

But there is only one way to get to that glorious place. You must believe in the person, Jesus, who died on a cross to take away your sin so that you could go there. Through Jesus’ sacrifice, the doors of Heaven were opened wide for all who believe to go through them and live in Heaven forever!

Now, let’s open up the egg and peak at what’s inside.

How to Use As a Gift

Gather the listed supplies. Some can be found from a discount store,

like the Dollar Store. You will need one item for each egg.

Put one of each item in each egg. I sealed mine with glue dots and tied with a ribbon.

Print off pages 4-7 for each bag; roll and tie with a ribbon like a scroll. Place one egg and the story pages inside one gift bag. Share the Good News with you friends, family, classmates, and neighbors.

Instructions include how to use this as a Sunday School lesson and include a handout that kids can use to follow along while you teach.

I'd love to hear how you are using them in the comment section of this product.

Happy Easter!

Thank you for visiting my store!

Enjoy!
