Description
Texas History students read an excerpt of one man's attempt to attract new settlers to Texas after the Texas Revolution and answer 9 questions, label a map based on the reading, and complete one creative task. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Which parts of this account might be more like advertisements and propaganda and which are more factual?
--If you were a prospective Texan immigrant, is any information missing that you would want to know before deciding to move? If so what is that and why, and if not, why not?
--Identify a problem the writer of this account encountered with detailing the animals in Texas.
--Which region is described in which way? Write a pro and a con for moving to each region.
