This series of 20 visualizing and verbalizing activities is designed to help students break the reading language process apart and practice reading for meaning. This product, STEP 4: Visualizing from Multiple Sentences is the fourth in a four step series of the Verbalizing Picture and Visualizing Text Reading/Language Comprehension Intervention System. However, each step in the series can be used as a standalone set of activities.

STEP 4: Visualizing from Multiple Sentences includes everything you need to begin building your students' reading and language comprehension through practice that connects multiple sentences to a student's mental image. The each sentence in the story and is read out loud by the student. The student uses the words in the sentence to make an image in their head. The teacher prompts the student to share details of the picture they "see" in their head. The teacher continues with the remaining sentences. Finally, the student is presented with comprehension questions based on their imagery.
