Description
Texas history students will read a brief background on the call for Mexican independence from Spain, a reconstructed account of Father Hidalgo's grito for independence, and answer 10 questions. They then analyze 3 images based on 6 provided prompts. This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate.
Sample questions include:
--Why did he fight for Mexico’s independence from Spain?
--Using context clues, define “galvanized.”
--What sparked the Mexican Revolution?
--What emotions does this speech evoke? Identify the phrases in the speech that support those emotions.
