Description
Students will learn about the Texas Revolution from the Battle of Gonzales to the Convention of 1836 by completing a stations/jigsaw activity and then going through a 17 slide presentation (saved as a PDF) with a note guide. Lastly they will complete a reading with a sorting activity to review the political foundations of the Texas Republic. The stations part of this includes 5 brief overview passages, a 5-part graphic organizer, and a true/false activity. Teacher and student instructions are on the first page and all answers are included where appropriate.

--Committees of Correspondence and the start of the revolution
--the Battle of Gonzales, the Army of the People, the Battle of Goliad
--the Consultation of 1835, the first provisional government
--the Grass Fight, the Battle of San Antonio de Bexar
--the Matamoros Expedition, the Convention of 1836, and a bit more!
