Description

This Elephant and Piggie Literacy Pack has been updated with digital files for students to access remotely. All the worksheets in the original pack have been recreated as Google Slides. The original worksheets, however, are still available to use as printables. The Google Slides can be assigned through Google Classroom. If you do not have Google Classroom, you can share the link to the activities via your preferred electronic platform.

The download comes as a zip file, and includes:
  • A teacher resource file, where you have access to the link for the Google Slides activities, as well as the story read aloud.
  • A PDF of at home printables for parents to use their learners
Important: Be sure to use the Google Slides in 'edit mode' and not 'present mode.' In 'edit mode,' students will select the slides to work on from the left hand side navigation. Using 'present mode' will advance the slides, and students will not be able use the drag and drop or type-in features.
 
This digital literacy pack is for use with the book, "Can I Play Too?" by Mo Willems. The literacy skills included are:
  • Making predictions
  • Story retelling, using Somebody, Wanted, But, So, Then
  • Story retelling, using beginning, middle, ending
  • Informational writing-"What Makes Me a Good Friend?"
  • Informational writing- "What Makes Piggie a Good Friend?"
  • Character traits
  • Vocabulary skills-using contractions
