Description

I struggled for years teaching homeostasis. It tends to be a tough topic that had very little student interest. I decided to create these activities in order to get better engagement out of the students.

The first worksheet are for students to find norms for some of the major biological processes. Instead of simply just writing in the ranges, students will graph and illustrate the results.

The second worksheet has students review the positive and negative feedback loops and become familiarized with how they work. They will take some of the physiological processes and apply this knowledge to them.

Finally, I included a heart rate homeostasis lab. The lab is great for reinforcing the newly learned material.

This was a great resource for my student to remember the normal and abnormal vital signs.
